Ysgol Gyfun Ystalyfera has been selected as one of the Welsh Government's Pioneer Schools in partnership with two of our Cluster Primaries, Ysgol Gynradd Gymraeg Pontardawe and Ysgol Gynradd Gymraeg Gwaun Cae Gurwen.
Over the next four years, teachers at the school will be working on developing a new framework for the curriculum which will develop a coherent and unified approach to pupils work in Wales. Our main focus at Ystalyfera will to develop Welsh and English language skills across the age range. We will also work very closely with other Welsh medium schools throughout Wales, in sharing good practice and to work in partnership so that we are ready for the implementation of a new curriculum for Wales by September 2018.
